Issue:
You need to export video directly from a hard drive removed from an I-Mobile recorder using to a PC running Windows 11.
Items needed to export video from an I-Mobile hard drive:
- I-Mobile hard drive that has been removed from the recorder
- USB 3.0 to SATA hard drive adapter with included power supply
- PC running Windows 11 with IDIS Center Software installed

These are the steps to perform in order to export video from the I-Mobile recorder hard drive:
1. Go to the I-Mobile recorder and turn off the power switch as shown below.
*NOTE: The recorder may take a few minutes to stop recording and power off after you turn the key to the off position.
2. Once the recorder has powered off, go ahead and remove the SATA hard drive and look for the SATA connector as shown below.
3. Next, you will need to get your USB 3.0 to SATA adapter. Here is an example of one made by UGREEN.
4. Place the hard drive next to your Windows 11 PC and connect the USB 3.0 to SATA hard drive adapter as shown below.
5. When you connect the drive, windows will ask you to format the drive as shown below. Click on "Cancel". DO NOT CHOOSE FORMAT DISK! If you do, you will erase all your video files on the hard drive.
6. Next, Windows will give you an error that the drive is not accessible. Please ignore this error and click on "OK" to continue as shown below.
7. Next, click on the Windows Icon, then click on "ALL" as shown below.
8. Navigate until you find "IDIS Center" and click it, then click on "IDIS Center for iHDP" as shown below.
9. IDIS Center will now open. Move your mouse over to the "HDP" icon at the top right side of IDIS Center and right-click on "HDP", then click on "Find HDP Storage" as shown below.
10. A message will pop up temporarily that says "Detecting Storage Devices for HDP" as shown below.
11. If the hard drive is discovered properly, you should now see a recorder and its associated cameras populate the device list as shown below.
12. You can now drag and drop any camera on the list to any window on the left and see the timetable as shown below.
13. If you click inside the timetable at the bottom and click the play button, you will see the playback video for that specific time selected as shown below.
14. You can export video by clicking the export button as shown below.
15. Choose the export option that you require as shown below.
16. In the next window you can select the start and end time to export the video from as well as other options as shown below.
17. Click "Start" to begin the export and then select the destination where you want the file saved as shown below.
18. You will now be given the data size of the clip and you are asked if you wish to continue to export the video file as shown below.
19. Saving is now complete and you are free to exit the dialog window as shown below.
20. Done!
