Will the redundancy server automatically detect this as well and start recording from the failover server?
- The Redundancy server would not be affected by the main ISS server crashing, as that is a separate camera stream being recorded in real time. A recording session is pulled from the camera for the primary recording service. A watch session is pulled from the camera for the redundancy recording service. Because of the different sessions being used we would have to check with HQ to determine if any AI metadata is stored when recording from the watch session.
What happens to the IDLA server? Will it auto-detect that the primary failed and point to the failover server to run video analytics services?
- The IDLA server would not be affected by the main ISS server crashing, as that is a separate service on a separate server. The only disruption would be during the time when the primary server fails and the failover server takes over. During that time we can not guarantee the performance of video analytics. And lastly, yes, the failover server will automatically be detected by the IDLA server.
