Adding Hikvision cameras to IDIS

Issue:

The customer/integrator is having trouble adding Hikvision cameras to IDIS (v8.8.1 or Contera v3.2+).

NOTE: H.265 streams are not supported by IDIS or Contera.

Resolution:

From the Hikvision camera webpage:

1. Click Network > Advanced Settings > Integration Protocol.
2. Enable ONVIF > Click Add and create a user (e.g. admin/Admin123!).
3. Click Save.
4. Click System > Maintenance >  Reboot.
   
   

Go to camera registration and perform an ONVIF Conformance search and authenticate using the user you just created.
