Rise Discovery Tools

Problem: End-user needs to discover Rise camera at unknown IP.

Solution:

1. Rise default network settings can be found here: RISE: Factory Default IP Address and Settings
2. The Rise Discovery Client (attached below) uses broadcast packets. It will work across the network but only in the same broadcast domain (local LAN segment).
   
   
   
   
3. The ONVIF discovery tool (attached below) uses the link-local multicast group 239.255.255.250 but receives unicast traffic coming back. It wouldn't normally work until a new camera is configured.
   
   
   
   
4. If neither tool is able to discover the cameras, an RMA must be processed.
