NOTE: Confirm the Windows Firewall (Domain, Public, Private) are off.

Procedure:
- Download Meinberg NTP (ntp-4.2.8p12-win32-setup.exe): https://www.meinbergglobal.com/english/sw/ntp.htm#ntp_stable
- After downloading run the installer to begin the installation.
- At the Licensing Agreement window, click the "I Agree" button to continue.
- Choose a destination folder or leave the default and click "Next".
- Leave all components checked and click "Next".
- The software will install and then show a "Configure File Settings" option.
- Check the box and enable "Create an initial configuration file with the following settings:
- If you have an external NTP server you would like to use, enter the IP address under "You can specify up to 9 NTP servers (comma separated) you want to use.
- If you only want the PC to be a time server with no outside time source leave this field blank.
- Check the box and enable "Add local clock as a last resort reference, Stratum: 12
- If you get a popup asking "Do you want to overwrite this file?" select Yes.
- Select Yes to "Do you want to review the generated config file?
- Verify there are no hashtags in front of "Server 127.127.1.0" and "fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 12". If you specified an external time server verify listed under "Use specific NTP servers".
- Close the NTP.conf file by clicking the X in the corner to continue with the installation.
- Leave all options default with Use "SYSTEM account" selected, click "Next"
- This will complete the installation and start the Network Protocol Time Daemon service, click "Finish".
- Check the NTP status: Click on START > type in Quick NTP Status > ENTER. Verify you see an (*) asterisk in front of the server. When using only the "Local" server with no external time source it can take 5 minutes before an asterisk is shown.
- Once the asterisk is listed in front of either the 3rd party server or LOCAL you can then point devices to the PC for time sync.
NOTE: If devices aren't syncing, turn off the Windows firewall and try again. You might need to reboot your camera/device. You can also allow Meinberg and port 123 for NTP.
