Issue:
You may run into an issue where using "Auto Scan (LAN)" to discover devices does not discover any devices on your network as shown below.
Verify that the Bonjour service is installed:
- Hold down the Windows Key and press "R" to get the Windows Run Dialog box and type "services.msc" and click "OK".
- When the Services window appears, scroll through the installed services until you find the "Bonjour Service". If this service is not listed here, then it did not get installed and device discovery will not work in IDIS Center.
Resolution:
- To install the Bonjour service, you will need to re-run the IDIS Center Installer and make sure that "Start the Bonjour Service for Device Auto Scan" is checked as shown below.
*NOTE: Checking this box not only starts the service, but it also installs the service. - Use the steps above to verify that the Bonjour Service was installed successfully.
- Launch IDIS Center and verify that device discovery is working.
