How to Turn on Active X Controls in Internet Explorer

You will need Admin rights on the PC in order to turn on the Active X controls

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on the gear to the top right and select Internet options.
3. Select the Security Tab and click on Trusted Sites.
   
4. Click on Sites. 
5. Enter the recorder's IP address and uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” to the Trusted Site List. Then click Add and then Close.
6. Click on Custom Level.

7. Scroll down until you start to see Active X controls. Enable or prompt all but 2 Active X controls.  The 2 you want to leave disabled are “Only allow approved domains to use ActiveX without Prompt” and “Run antimalware software on ActiveX controls”. Click Ok and Ok again to exit Internet Options.
