Issue: Have a Central Point recorder that is at a remote location that needs to be added to the Central Point Software.
Resolution: Add the recorder manually to the Central Point recorder.
Pre-Requisites- A PC that has the Central point loaded and logged on. All appropriate networking is done for the recorder to communicate outside its location. Example: Port Forwarding and/or VPN.
- Navigate to the top left click on Central Point and then Setup.
- Click on Add Device.
- A new window will open. Please fill out the information.
- Device Type- Select Recorder
- Name- To Identify the recorder. It can be anything you need it to be
- Address- IP Address of the recorder or network (If not using DVRNS)
- Http- Default port is 80
- Video Port- The default port is 9350
- HTTPS Port- The default port is 443
- Channel- Max number of cameras that can be registered to the recorder
- Use DVRNS- Check this box if you setup DVRNS on the recorder
- DVRNS User ID- Name that is registered to the DVRNS Server
- Login ID- ID of the recorder
- Password- Password of the recorder
- Click on Test. If the test is successful click Done then OK.
- Click Save on the Central Point Setup window then Done.
The recorder has been added to the Central Point software. The recorder will be located on the left in the Device tree.
