FAQ: How to add a camera to the Central Point Recorder

Issue:

I need to add cameras to the Central Point Recorder and it is not auto populating. 

Pre-Requisites:

• A camera that network is set to DHCP
• The date and time on the camera is correct
• ONVIF User for the Camera (if needed by camera)

Solution:

Make sure the camera is set to DHCP, the date and time are correct and all setup is done on the camera for ONVIF use.

1. Plug the camera into one of the POE ports in the back of the recorder.
2. Right Click on any box and select Camera Registration. (If you do not see that, you will need to log in first.)
   
3. The recorder should find the camera. Click on the camera.
   
4. Enter the ONVIF Username and password to the right and click check. 
   
5. Go to the camera in the table and click on the Assign Column and assign the camera to a Channel. 
   
6. Click Save and then the "x" at the top right.
