Issue:
How do I set the record frames per second for Direct IP cameras on the XDI system?
Solution:
To set the recorded frames for the Direct IP cameras on the XDI you would need to do it in 2 places. The first place that it needs to be done is in the Camera Stream settings under the Record profile. Select a record profile and adjust accordingly. Then after that is done make your way to the Record Schedule and click on the settings box. Select the profile that you just adjusted in the camera stream. Here is a step by step of how to accomplish this task.
- Go to Setup by moving the mouse to the Right Corner of the screen and selecting the Setup Icon. Or press the menu button and navigate with the directional pad to the Setup Icon.
- Navigate to the Camera icon and click on it.
- On the left side select Stream. (On the 20 series XDI select Stream 1)
- Choose a Record Video Profile to configure (Very High, High Standard, and/or Basic (20 Series is Profile 1-4)) and change the Video Profile to Custom. (if you do not have a custom to select then you have a third-party camera. Select one of the live streams to configure) Once the Record Video Profile has been set to custom then the IPS can be changed. IPS (Image per Second) = Frames Per Second.
- If changing the IPS for multiple cameras that are the same camera model. Copy and Paste these settings to all the other cameras by clicking on the Copy to Camera Icon
to the right of the Camera Channels. Then select the cameras that need the same settings and click OK.
- Click OK on the Stream page.
- Next, go to the Record icon.
- Select Schedule.
- Locate the Settings box that corresponds with the schedule that needs to be adjusted and select it.
- Adjust the Video Profile to the profile that was configured in step 4. Click OK when done then OK again and it will prompt to save. Click OK one last time.
It is now going to start recording at the new Image rate set. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to our support team.
