FAQ: Password Reset for the CVI2MV2.

Issue:

Missing the password for the CVI2MV2 Matrix and other Video Matrix products. 

Pre-Requisite:

• PC that is on the same logical network as the device
• The PasswordReset.7z (Link at bottom of Article) was downloaded, the file was extracted and the folder open.

Solution:

1. In the PasswordReset folder click on Upgrade.exe.
   
2. Click Upload Database.
   
3. Navigate to and open the PasswordReset folder.  Select the PasswordReset.bin and click Open.
   

   

4. The window will close.  When the upload is complete the Upload success window will appear.  Click OK.
   
5. Click Reboot.
   

When the matrix returns from the reboot, the password will change to 12345.  The device should go back to factory settings except for the IP Address.
