FAQ: User Groups for the Directnet Recorder

Issue:

Want to limit users on what they can do at the recorder, Starnet and the web browser.

Resolution:

Make user groups with the restrictions.

1. Move the mouse to the left and select Setup.
2. Select System.
   
3. Select User.
   
4. Click +Group.
   
5. Name the group and click OK.
   
6. Click on the boxes to uncheck all features you want to restrict the user from using.
   
7. Click OK.
   
8. Click + User.
   
   
9. Give the User a name that will be used for logging in.
   
10. Select the group that you just created in the Group drop-down box.
    
11. Enter a password in the Password and Confirm field and then enter an email address in the E-mail address field.
    
12. Click OK.

13. A message window will open.  Click Yes.
    
14. Click Apply then Save.
