Issue:
When looking at a Fisheye camera using Starnet the Fisheye Dewarp tools are grayed out.
Solution:
There are a few different reasons why the Fisheye tools will be grayed out. Here are some that I have come across.
- If you are not using an admin user to log onto the Starnet software, make sure you have the user rights to those tools. Ask the person in charge of the recorders if you have rights to those tools.
- The camera is a non-Costar Direct Net camera. If the camera is 3rd party camera or a Costar camera but does not run the Direct Net protocol then the Starnet cannot dewarp the camera.
- If the camera is a Direct Net camera and the dewarp tools are greyed out then the camera is being dewarped at the recorder. You can check to see if the camera is being dewarped at the recorder by:
- Navigating to Remote Setup>Camera>Advanced Setup.
- Click on the Video... box next to the camera number
. - Locate the dropdown with Image Sensor and change it to View Mode.
