Issue:
- Installed the Starnet Pro before I had my key.
- Added more devices to the Starnet Pro Key
- Upgraded from the Demo license
- The Starnet Pro Server is not connected to the Internet
- Customer firewall is blocking communication.
Requirements:
- A way to get a file off of the Starnet Pro Server. Examples: USB Thumb Drive.
- Email Account to email the file to Costar Support.
Resolution.
- If updating the licenses, verify the license key shown in the License Tool matches the license key in the PDF provided by Sales.
- Click the Start button and locate the Costar Starnet Pro folder. Expand the Costar Starnet Pro folder and select License Tool.
- Click Authenticate at the bottom right of the window.
- If Authenticate is greyed out, click Update.
- If Authenticate is greyed out, click Update.
- Select OFFLINE, then click Next.
- Click Accept and Use if prompted.
- Click Save… and choose a location to save the .ixp file. Click Save. Leave the License Tool open.
Note: The file name can not have special characters. - Go to https://www.idisglobal.com/activate/activate_license
- Click Choose File and select the *.ixp that was just created and click Upload.
- Download the *.ixl when prompted.
- Click Load on the License Tool.
- Select the .ixl file, then click Open. The updated information will be in red.
- Click Apply, then Yes when prompted to restart.
- The updated licensing will now be shown.
