CR6420XDi Hard Drive Layout

Issue:

The Costar CR6420XDi NVR has a unique internal layout that uses certain hard drives to record certain channels.  The odd-numbered channels use Group 1 drives and the even channels use Group 2 drives to record to.  

Solution:

This layout makes us have to have a hard drive in at least port 1 and port 5 to record all the odd and even channels.  A minimum of 2 drives needs to be installed in order to record all channels.
