StarNET Cameras - Enable motion detection for 3rd party VMS

Issue:

How to enable motion detection on a CVS StarNET camera when used with a 3rd party VMS.

Resolution:

In order to enable motion detection on the camera you will need to use the INIT IP search software to find the camera and then access Remote Setup.

1. Download the INIT v4.5.2 software and run on a PC which is in the same network subnet as the cameras.
   
   
2. Right-click on the detected camera and select Remote Setup.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Log into the camera, and navigate to Event > Motion Detection
   
   Note: If this is the first time accessing Remote Setup you may be prompted to create a password.
   1. 1. 1. The initial web browser login is:
            User: admin
            Pass: <blank>
         2. You will then be prompted to create a password with the following requirements.
            
            
            
            
4. Enable Motion Detection and Save to enable.
   
   
   
   Note: By default the Motion Zone will be enabled to cover the entire area (filled in with RED blocks) for motion detection.  
   The Sensitivity settings are from 1 - 5 (5 being the most sensitive)
   
   Motion Zone: 
   
   Red indicates detection zone
   
   
5. The ONVIF Protocol is enabled.
   1. Navigate to System > General and verify ONVIF Protocol is checked and enabled.
