Issue:
How to enable motion detection on a CVS StarNET camera when used with a 3rd party VMS.
Resolution:
In order to enable motion detection on the camera you will need to use the INIT IP search software to find the camera and then access Remote Setup.
- Download the INIT v4.5.2 software and run on a PC which is in the same network subnet as the cameras.
- Right-click on the detected camera and select Remote Setup.
- Log into the camera, and navigate to Event > Motion Detection
Note: If this is the first time accessing Remote Setup you may be prompted to create a password.-

- Enable Motion Detection and Save to enable.
Note: By default the Motion Zone will be enabled to cover the entire area (filled in with RED blocks) for motion detection.
The Sensitivity settings are from 1 - 5 (5 being the most sensitive)
Motion Zone:
Red indicates detection zone
- The ONVIF Protocol is enabled.
- Navigate to System > General and verify ONVIF Protocol is checked and enabled.
