Register 3rd-party cameras to an XDI

Use this procedure for integrating Onvif-supported cameras.  Please make all necessary configurations on the camera before integrating into the XDI: date/time, quality, frame rate, etc.  

1. Plug your cameras into the recorder's PoE ports, or a switch connected to the unit's Video In-EXT port.
   
   
2. Log in to the recorder.
3. Right-click an empty box and select Camera Registration.
   
4. Click Scan > Third Party Scan in the top right corner.
   
   
5. Change the Protocol to ONVIF Conformance.
6. Click Advanced Setup and make sure that Type is set to Link Local. 
7. Click Scan. Cameras will populate in the list to the left.
   
   
8. Click Close when the scan when it ends.
   Troubleshooting: If the recorders cannot locate the cameras please power down the recorder for 30 seconds and power the recorder back up.  
9. Add your camera(s).
   1. Right-click the camera you want to add and select Add Camera.
   2. Enter credentials for the camera and click OK.
   3. Repeat for each camera you want to add to the system.
10. Click Apply.
