If replacing a camera, you must first unregister the camera.
- AV Contera cameras are supported.
- Mega Line is not supported.
Camera Configurations:
- Make sure the camera is ONVIF Profile S compliant
- Set a password on the camera if needed
- Set static IP on 3rd party cameras. {Make sure the gateway and the IP address used is in the same network
- The camera needs to be set for h.264
- Lower the bitrate of the camera to 2500 kbps
- Lower the IPS/FPS Main stream to 10-12 and Secondary to 5
- Make sure the date/time on the camera and NVR are synced.
- Connect the camera to the NVR PoE port or to a network switch. The network switch should be connected to the Video In RJ45 port.
Recorder Configurations:
- From the Live screen on the NVR right-click and select camera registration.
- Select Scan, third-party scan
- Set Protocol to Onvif conformant
- Set Mode to IP
- Click on Advanced Setup {If using a NVR running 8.5.2 and higher, this section is under setup/network/VIN}
- Set to manual
- Set the IP to the same IP scope as the cameras, it must be unused on the network. {You may choose an IP scheme of your liking, DO NOT USE THE SAME IP SCHEME AS THE WAN.}
- Set the subnet mask to the same as the camera
- Set the Gateway to the same as the camera. {Make sure the gateway and the IP address used are in the same network
- Set the range. ( DO NOT USE .255)
- The camera will be listed on the left-hand side.
- Right-click and authenticate the camera
- Right-click and add the camera.
- Hit apply.
*If the NVR does not discover the cameras, reboot the NVR and try again.
