Question
My camera's picture is dark and noisy at night: how can I get better image quality from my camera at night?
Answer
Some cameras, like STELLAR models, perform better in low-light conditions than others. STELLAR models and other cameras with built-in IR illumination will perform better in low light than models without.
In general the higher the camera's resolution, the higher the impact on low-light performance. If you experience poor image quality in low-light environments, you can adjust settings to improve low-light image performance (with some trade-offs), including “Binning” and “Moonlight” exposure modes. You may also consider supplemental IR illumination to produce more favorable scene conditions.
