Important:
- The thermal camera must already be set up per this article: Thermographic Systems: First Time Setup
- The wizard will quit after approximately 3 minutes of inactivity.
- The NVR will be on a continuous recording schedule.
- Internet Explorer is not supported when connecting to the NVR.
Issue:
A customer/integrator has just received the AI NVR and needs to set it up.
Resolution:
- Setup a monitor (VGA/HDMI), USB mouse, and power on the NVR. Keyboards are not supported.
- Activation window.
- Set your language.
- Next to "Enter a new password" and "Confirm the new password" type in a password that meets the complexity requirements displayed. You will use this to access the system.
- Next to "Enter channel default password" type in the password used on your IP cameras. If the IP cameras have a password different then what you type here, it will not auto-add.
- Click OK.
- Pattern Unlock (Optional).
- Draw a pattern using the USB mouse twice.
- Click OK.
- Password Recovery Email (Optional).
- Provide a recovery email address.
- Click OK.
- Password Recovery Questions (Optional).
- Provide answers to the recovery questions.
- Click OK.
- Click Start Wizard.
- On the Network page, you will see the unit is set statically by default.
- IP Address: 192.168.0.121
- Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Gateway: 192.168.0.1
- Either turn DHCP on or use the TCP/IP information provided by your network administrator.
- Click Next.
- The next window has 3 tabs for time settings.
- Under Date and Time, adjust the settings specific to your site.
- Under Time Zone set your time zone.
- Under DST toggle it on or off depending on your location.
- Click Next.
- The Camera page appears.
- Click Start Search.
- On the bottom pane, find the thermal camera and click it. A checkmark will appear.
- Click Add on the bottom right. This adds the primary stream of the thermal camera.
- Click the (+). We will now add the secondary stream of the thermal camera.
- Fill in the IP address of the thermal camera.
- Next to Protocol select Private.
- Fill in the username and password.
- Set the Remote Channel to CH-2.
- Click OK.
- Click Next.
- Click Start Search.
- The Disk page appears.
- Put a checkmark next to the disk then click Format.
- When prompted to format the disk click OK.
- Click OK when prompted.
- Click Next.
- The P2P page appears.
- Click Next.
- Click Next.
- The Resolution page appears.
- Select an Output Resolution.
- Click Finish
- Once the initial setup has been performed it is much easier to use the webpage of the unit to do any remaining configuration. Open a web browser and type in the IP address of the NVR. You will be prompted to log in with the username and password you set up during the wizard.
- Click Setting > System > General. Change the temperature unit from Celsius to Fahrenheit then click Apply.
- Click AI Recognition.
- Click Real-Time Body Temperature Filter.
- Click on Channel 1 and Channel 2 to populate the views.

When someone walks into the detection zone you will see the temperature display onscreen. The normal temperatures will be displayed on the right and the over temperatures will be displayed on the bottom.
