SMTP Setup

Issue:

• SMTP notifications need to be received when motion is detected.

Environment:

• AV02CID-200 v65360.9
• Gmail account

Resolution:

1. Setup an App Password on the Gmail account: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/185833?hl=en-GB
2. Review Googles SMTP documentation: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7126229?hl=en#zippy=%2Cstep-change-smtp-other-settings-in-your-email-client
3. Go to the camera webpage and click Event > SMTP Notification Handler. Fill out the below sections then click Apply.
   
   Host address: smtp.gmail.com
   Port: 587
   Username: <username>@gmail.com
   Password: "App Password" assigned from Step 1.
   Authentication: TLS_TTLS
   Recipient: <username>@domain.com
   
   
   
   
   
4. Verify you receive a notification email at whatever recipient address was specified with a snapshot if it was selected.
