Issue:
The user's subscription to ConteraWS has expired and they need to view / access the ConteraCMR remotely.
Resolution:
- Obtain the internal IP address of the ConteraCMR.
- At the local NVR right click the Start menu and select Run.
- Type cmd then click OK.
- Type ipconfig then click Enter. Scroll down to the Ethernet adapter and locate the IPv4 address. In our example it is 192.168.5.10.
- At the local NVR right click the Start menu and select Run.
- Obtain the public IP address of the site.
- Go to https://www.whatismyip.com
- Note the public IPv4 address. In our example it is 69.18.253.218
- Setup port forwarding on port 80 and 443.
- Go to https://portforward.com/ for specific instructions for your router OR have your local IT set it up.
- Go to https://portchecker.co/ and verify the ports are open if you are having trouble connecting via ConteraWS or the mobile app.
- To connect to the ConteraVMS from an offsite location with a web browser.
- Launch Google Chrome.
- Type in http://69.18.253.218 and click Enter.
- You should see the web page of the ConteraVMS.
