Costar Utility: How to apply firmware updates to multiple cameras

Issue:

Firmware updates need to be applied to multiple cameras.

Environment:

• Contera cameras
• Costar Utility v1.0.0.36+

Resolution:

1. Download and install Costar Utility v1.0.0.36. Contact technical support for a copy.
2. Go through the initial setup then click Refresh on the upper left.
3. Click Manage Packages then Add.
4. Locate the firmware you downloaded then click Open.
5. Provide a name for the camera model and version then click Save then Done.
6. If the camera is yellow and has a lock icon, you need to provide credentials for it. Right click the camera and select Password then Camera Credentials.
7. Type your password then click Apply. Once it turns green, click the X in the upper right to close the window.
8. To apply the update to multiple cameras, press Ctrl and select the required cameras.
9. Right click the highlighted cameras then go to Firmware then Choose From Registered Packages.
10. Choose the camera model and appropriate firmware version then click Upgrade.
